Regular maintenance and use of sterile-autoclave
We always wash equipment with an ultrasonic cleaning and use of the stainless steel tubing and other equipment. All the equipment is cleaned by a high-pressure steam sterilization autoclave machine. In addition, I regularly do maintain on the autoclave to make sure it’s running perfectly.
Disposal of equipment items of high-infection risk
Needles that touch the skin directly, ink, gloves, barrier film, paper towels and any other equipment that comes in contact with body fluid are discarded immediately. Then we take the bags to the medical waste container outside.
Inhibition of growth of microorganisms storage
In regards to stainless steel tubes we use, we always clean them in our slow-riser sterilization machine (Steritest riser) Afterwards we move them to storage because they cannot be used immediately. Equipment that will be used for treatment that can’t be sterilized in the machine will also be disinfected with an alcohol mixture.
